Now to speed things up just a little, along came the 21st century. Modern kitchens, modern kitchen appliances, modern kitchen pot racks. So, do you think pot racks have come along and progressed down through the centuries? Do you think they have features and benefits that are far beyond the reach of 15th century man? My answer to these two questions are, "Yes, they have" and "Yes, they do."

Rack air conditioners are generally not used in traditional datacenter environments that have adequate CRAC systems. However, if IT equipment will be placed outside of a controlled datacenter environment, such as in a warehouse or factory, rack air conditioners are sometimes used. It is important to keep in mind that rack air conditioners are intended for use in industrial and large spaces, they generate condensation and noise, and they exhaust hot air into the room where the enclosure is located. In a large room, the heat will dissipate. In a smaller room or confined space like a closet, the exhausted hot air from the AC unit can cause the room to overheat. If an AC unit is used in a small room, measures must be implemented to exhaust the hot air from the room. Air conditioner models differ in the amount of cooling output they can provide, so select one appropriate to your needs.

This one is just as important to consider. If you don't have proper weight capacity for your equipment (ie: frame strength) then you could damage your gear, bend the rack frame or shelving, or if you try to push it to the limits you may not like what you hear later on down the road if it starts to sound rickety as wear from an overweight equipment load occurs over time. All of Middle Atlantic's racks are highly engineered to have appropriate weight capacity ratings. Their Slim 5 series rack is rated for 400 lbs, and it does hold 400 lbs with perfect ease. Up to this point the rack will function as described and will stand up to the test of time. If you swap out some components down the road, replacing some with heavier ones, add another here or there and now you've got 500 lbs, well that might not go so well. Time to buy a whole new rack to accommodate your updated system.

Think of jar racks for floor displays as siblings to bucket display racks. Jar racks come with numerous "jars," rather than "buckets," and these jars most often have lids to help keep food items such as candy safe and small merchandise like hair accessories or toys safe from sticky fingers.

The type of construction you should choose depends on how you intend to use your ladder rack. If you plan to buy a rack system that can be dismantled when you don't need it, and you anticipate setting up and taking down the rack frequently, you will probably benefit most from a lightweight rack that is easier to handle. However, if you intend to set your rack up once and never take it down, and you plan on carrying heavy loads, you will want to ignore the rack's weight altogether and focus your attention instead at the load capacity for each rack you are considering.
